Gamer's Night
- Tokyo Pistol eheadline
- This event is over. (2008/03/28 22:00)
Game night jointly organized by Tokyo Pistol, whose office is located on the 3rd floor of Gotanda Sonic, and eheadline, attracting lots of avid gamers, who spent a relaxing evening engaged in their favorite pastime, with alcohol flowing...what was it like, really?
Gotanda Sonic's editorial design company, Tokyo Pistol, and its systems and software design firm, eheadline, both have an abiding passion for games, which led them to try their hand at organizing this joint event. Participants included the owner of Meteor (who organizes Famicom conventions and tournaments), a game shop in Kichijoji, his gaming buddies, designers from Cheap Monday and even game-loving foreigners in Tokyo.
Featuring consoles like the X-box 360, the Nintendo wii and Sony's PS3, the most popular one by far was the Famicom. Everyone was blown away by how the 2008 winner of the Famicom tournament cleared all the stages of "Spelunker" with no mistakes. The DS game created by designer Polygram was also a huge hit.
Although the event was fairly modest in size, attracting about 60 to 70 game fans, the response was warm and encouraging, spurring everyone on to organize future installments. Several people even asked that the next edition should be take on a duel format.
"Gamer's Night" was a resounding success overall, and a great party into the bargain!
